Timeless Style: Wicker Furniture

Ah, wicker. It's been around the block - dating all the way back to ancient Egypt!

Wicker had a heyday during the golden era of the Victorian Era (1860-1880), first made its way to America on the Mayflower in 1620, became a booming trend in the 1960s with Heywood Wakefield Rattan Furniture, and made yet another resurgence when synthetic resin wicker became a popular commercial grade product in the mid 2000’s.

Nowadays, wicker is often worked into both traditional & bohemian styled settings. IKEA even recently released a line of synthetic wicker furniture and seagrass baskets.

It can be styled in so many ways! We put together an eclectic, boho look for you with a teal and white traditional-style wicker table for two. Using soft pastels with fruit and floral prints, this dining setup could be the perfect late summer patio hideaway or sunny breakfast nook.
